چکیده
Objective. To evaluate the effectiveness of CT-guided thoracic biopsy in diagnosis lung and mediastinal malignancies. Materials methods . A retrospective analysis 32 cases transthoracic was performed. Lung masses suspicious for malignancy with a size more than 2.0 cm area available manipulation were indication Cor-biopsy additional examination impression smears. step-by-step procedure involved CT positioning object, marking by radiation therapy program, performing procedure. The cytological histological materials evaluated compared. Results. manipulations performed patients (75±7.7%) (25±7.7%) proved technical procedure, which lasted 37±9 minutes. confirmed smears 81.3±6.9% cases, using – 71.9±8% (p>0.05). agreement between results obtained both 53.1±8.8%. Immunohistochemical material 69.6±9.6% patients. Procedural complications (pneumothorax hemoptysis) observed 21.9±7.3% Cytological allowed planned immunohistochemical to be foreseen high degree probability. Conclusion. puncture is highly effective method diagnosing malignancies, allows their morphological characterization done 81% cases.

association has been described with similar results and could be due to a combination of the effects of obesity and diffuse airway obstruction. Obesity is known to be a major risk factor for OSA linked with increased neck circumference and amounts of peripharyngeal fat, which could narrow and compress the upper airway; obesity may also play a role by reducing lung volumes. Obesity affects ERV b...
متن کاملTransthoracic image guided biopsy.
Transthoracic image guided biopsy is now firmly established in the armamentarium of diagnostic tests to establish the nature of a mass in the lung, pleura, mediastinum or chest wall. It may be performed under computed tomographic, ultrasonic or fluoroscopic control, and provided a fine needle technique is employed, morbidity is low. Worldwide reports show a 90% true positive yield and a false p...

PURPOSE We aimed to investigate the effectiveness and complications of transthoracic CT-guided biopsy techniques. METHODS A total of 94 CT-guided percutaneous transthoracic biopsy procedures performed in 85 patients were retrospectively evaluated. Core biopsy technique was used in 87 procedures and transthoracic fine-needle aspiration biopsy was used in seven procedures. RESULTS Diagnostic ...

Abstract Background Computed tomography (CT)-guided biopsy of the lung is a well-established method of diagnosis. The aim of this study was to determine the success rate of fluoroscopic CT (FCT) and conventional CT (CCT) in needle navigation biopsies from the lung lesions. Materials and Methods A total of 78 patients were prospectively enrolled to receive CT-guided biopsy with (group I, n=2...

BACKGROUND The purpose of this retrospective study was to compare the results and complication rate in CT guided percutaneous trans-thoracic fine needle aspiration biopsies (FNAB) and core biopsies of lung lesions, and to determine the applicability of these needles. PATIENTS AND METHODS In 242 patients (166 males; 76 females) with mean age of 58.9 years (13-84 years) CT guided biopsies of lu...
